QotD: True Saying
Which saying do you believe to be true, but just can't seem to follow?

Mama used to tell me, "laughing's catching." She meant that if you take joy or get a giggle out of someone's particular problem, you're due for the same hardships. Yesterday, I got a fair amount of entertainment watching Beyonce take a tumble and reliving the past tumbles from others in the Destiny's Child's crew. Today, I'm outside for a break and I nearly take a tumble down the steps. While I did manage to save myself from any physical injuries, my ego was bruised a bit. An attractive young man was walking by and caught me in stumble mode. That awkward dance you do in attempts to keep your balance and stay upright. He didn't laugh out loud, but there was a jump in shoulders suggesting he was humored. Of course I wanted to to tell him, "Laughing's catching-- you cute little bastard."
Edited to add: I felt a bit of schedenfraude in watching E's True Hollywood Story: Curse of the Lottery Winners. I purchased a lottery ticket yesterday. So I'm kind of hoping Mama's adage holds true on this one too. You know, without the drug addiction, suicide and killer car crashes.
